A group of vigilant female waterbuck ( Kobus ellipsiprymnus ) showing the characteristic white ring encircling their rumps. Male waterbuck have heavily ridged horns which become smooth towards the tip and sweep forward from the head in an upward even curve. Waterbuck seldom occur further than 2 kilometres from open water.
