The striking Lilacbreasted Roller ( Coracias caudata ) is a common resident that perches conspicuously on top of bushes or trees from where it flies to catch prey; which includes insects, scorpions, small snakes, frogs, centipedes, snails, rodents and small birds. A smallish bird of approximately 35 cm in length.
