The Kruger National Park's rules and
regulations are promulgated in the National Parks Act, but the
following are the most important to take note of:
Environmental Conservation
- Littering is prohibited
- Do not feed any animal
- No animal, bird, plant or object may be disturbed
- Be aware of the danger of fire when handling burning
objects ( braai-wood, coals, cigarettes etc) { Braai is a
barbecue }
- No pets are allowed
- Firearms must be declared
Travel
- Stay in your vehicle at all times. Areas
where you can leave your car are clearly demarcated
- Obey all traffic signs
- Drive on the approved roads only. You may
not drive off the road
- Only a person with a valid drivers licence
may drive a vehicle
- Obey the speed limits : 50 km/h on tar
roads and 40 km/h on gravel roads
Camps
- You may only stay overnight in rest camps inside the
Kruger
- Report to reception on arrival
- Do not cause a disturbance at any time
- No noise from 21h30 to 06h00
- You may not advertise or trade
- The use of roller skates, roller blades, skateboards and
bicycles is forbidden
- Accommodation can be occupied from 12h00 on the day of
arrival, and must be vacated before 09h00 on departure
