The Blue Wildebeest ( Connochaetus taurinus ), also known as the Gnu, favours medium to short grass ( approximately 11cm to 3cm ) and often follows the Burchell's Zebra ( tall grass grazer) which opens up grazing for the wildebeest. Both sexes have horns, but the females are lighter in build than the males.
