Day Safaris

Day safaris are game drives of either a full day's, morning's or afternoon's duration. We collect guests from virtually all the hotels, guest houses and related accommodation establishments bordering the Kruger. Where we are unable to collect from the establishment, we meet guests at the Kruger entrance gate closest to that establishment. The Scheduled Safaris depart from the Malelane Sun Hotel and the information below is similar for reference purposes. Tailor-made safaris are exclusive to the party.

Full day safari

Depending on the season, the Full Day Safari lasts from between 11,5 to 13 hours and starts from the time the Kruger's gates open until the gates close. Most accommodation establishments include breakfast in their rates and breakfast packs or picnic hampers can be arranged for the following day. We stop for breakfast at one of the picnic sites and lunch is spent at one of rest camps with restaurant or cafeteria facilities. Should guests wish to have a picnic lunch or barbecue, we use a suitable picnic site for this.

Morning safari

The Morning Safari lasts for around 6 to 7 hours, also starting from when the gates open until approximately 12h00. Breakfast arrangements are the same as for the full day and you are dropped off before lunch.

Afternoon safari

The Afternoon Safari lasts between 3,5 to 4,5 hours, depending on the season and starts at around 14h00 until the gates close in the evening.
