About LES

Lowveld Environmental Services is an independent private company owned and managed as a family concern. On 4 September 1995, LES was the first safari company to be permitted by the South African National Parks to operate open vehicles into the Kruger National Park (KNP). Since then we provide Sight, Sound & Smell Safaris through the Phalaborwa, Orpen, Paul Kruger, Numbi, Malelane and Crocodile Bridge gates, as well as from all of the KNP Rest Camps and the hotels and other accommodation establishments bordering the Kruger.

All deployments are co-ordinated through our Central Reservations, which is based in Nelspruit, ( see map ) the capital of the Mpumalanga Province. Reservations can be made via email to reservations@les-safaris.com, facsimile or by telephone. If you are already in the country and either want to confirm or address your booking, contact us as our telephones are manned after-hours too.

While you are on safari with us, family can contact our office in an emergency and we will be able to pass the message on to you by means of radio communications. This increases your peace of mind while enjoying the spectacular African bush.

Our professional and experienced field guides are all registered and qualified to enhance your safari. We do not only focus on the obvious animals or the "Big 5", but interpret and explain behaviour and interactions in a manner that will remain with you for many years.

Our Sight, Sound & Smell Safaris offer you a unique Kruger game viewing experience and once the magic of a South African Safari has touched your soul, you will always ache to return to Paradise.

We are members of SATSA ( South African Tourism Services Association), MISA ( Mpumalanga Independent Safari Association )and FGASA ( Field Guides Association of Southern Africa) and adhere to their respective Codes of Conduct and Constitutions.
